The difference between river & ocean cruises

Everyone loves a good vacation on the sea and taking a cruise seems like the perfect way to kick back and relax. But, you may notice that there are two kinds of cruises, river cruises and ocean cruises. Both are great but we know that we can’t take both at the same time! So to help narrow down your options I’ve provided a few compare and contrasts to help make your decision easier.

Compared to an ocean cruise, traveling by inland waterways offers a much more intimate and in-depth perspective on your destination with almost all ships carrying no more than 200 passengers, with almost all outside views, once you step on land as soon as the ship is docked you get to have the opportunity to visit multiple cities without the hassle of packing and unpacking.  This is increasingly becoming a popular style of travel.

One of the appeals you will find on a river cruise is comfortable but unfussy surrounding with decent food and enjoyable company.  The on-board atmosphere is friendly and relaxed – never stuffy. Motion sickness is extremely rare. River cruises over a gorgeous scenery as you relax on your way.

Ocean  cruise ships allow you to see its coastline and ports, leisure facilities of large resort ships make them a destination with multiple activities and variety of foods for everyone to enjoy some like Disney Cruises have great parties on deck with Fireworks and great actives for Families, Adults and children, right on the ocean.

In a river cruise land is always in sight, and the scenery is at eye level.

I hope this helped give you some insight on making your decision easier on choosing your perfect cruise for a marvelous and relaxing vacation!
